In May 2021 the Shanghai Tuscan Lodge becomes a Universities Scheme Lodge under Metropolitan Grand Lodge, please visit our separate tab to find out more.
The Shanghai Tuscan Lodge has a long and interesting history, since being formed in Shanghai, China on the 16th June, 1864. Formerly known as the Tuscan Lodge, our name changed to Shanghai Tuscan Lodge upon transferring to London in 1955. We hope you find the pages on our website interesting, they contain information about the Lodge and its history.
If you are already a Freemason you would be welcomed as a joining member, or if you would simply like to attend a meeting as a visitor just Email our Secretary secretary1027@freemasons.london. We are a small and friendly Lodge, and you will always receive a warm welcome.
For information about Freemasonry in general visit the United Grand Lodge pages , and for London in particular look at the Metropolitan Grand Lodge web site.
Freemasonry is about sharing a common desire for charitable support and following a high moral code. It is a male-only society, focused on following the three core principles of brotherly love, relief and truth, as well as improving oneself and others. Our society is open to men of any race, religion, political belief and status.
One of the most common misconceptions about Freemasonry – and there are many of them – is that you have to be invited to join. There is absolutely no reason why you should not ask to join – in fact that is the correct procedure.
The Shanghai Tuscan Lodge, No 1027 regular meetings are held at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London WC2, in the late afternoon on the 2nd Wednesday of February, October, the 4th Monday in November and 4th Wednesday of May (when the new Master in Installed).
